Saw this on the news last night. This is being shown here in downtown Orlando this week on the facade of the Kress Building, a kind of HD graffiti I've never seen before!

A laser light show, I like that! Reminds me of a concert.

That looks fun- I liked the water fountain part. Do the boys in pointy red hats have some connection locally that you know of, Bev?
We were in Sydney a few years ago when Brian Eno did a light show on the Sydney Opera House. I'm not a huge fan of the result but I love the concept. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uArUQcZi ... re=related

Good question, SP. I can't find anything on the pointy-hat boys. It's a mystery to solve here! :D The video I linked to was from last year. I'll have to look more into it, but this year they're doing it in Orlando. Not sure I can get down to film a live show of it, but if I do, I'll be sure to link it here.

Thought of this thread when I watched a documentary a few days ago on an interesting street artists out of Montreal Canada called Roadsworth. During the filming of the documentary, he was caught by police while painting an on/off switch on a road. He was charged with something like fifty counts of damage to public property. While he awaited trial, the public outcry caused him to become an international interest by the underground art community. As a result, he was invited to several countries to (at his own risk) create some road art there. He was caught while in the Netherlands, but there he only spent the night in jail.

In the end, the city of Montreal decided to reduce his charges to four counts, which they later dropped. The city ended up hiring him to create some road art in front of some city building. :D

If you can see the documentary, I highly recommend it. It was very well done!

We have a local road artist who calls himself Roa Dart. He paints around potholes in the road and leading up to them with colourful designs to warn motorists. In our high-rainfall area, potholes are a common occurrence. There is a collection tin in town (made from an old lp gas bottle) for his expenses.

The city council there do not mind? That's wonderful! I do hope your Roe Dart makes a good living that way.

He works secretly at night - makes some great looking art of it, too.

Banksy's a Bristolian, which is where I live. Anyone from Bristol (that's Bristol UK!, for you colonials) must be OK.

Cheers, 2RM.
