Lord, have mercy. Bless Glendale and his family and guide that hands of the nurses and doctors treating him. Christ, heal him.
Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

Thanks, SP.

The tests at least show his brain and spine appear normal. Now, they're trying to figure out why he can't moved from the waist down. I wonder if it's a kind of hysterical thing (which apparently is not uncommon after a life-threatening illness, especially in kids.)

So, prayers are still needed. Poor kid.

Latest word is he's doing better and gaining more feeling from the waist down. Still not as mobile as he should be, but he's improving. They never did figure out what caused this, though.

He's doing well. Thank you for asking, Vix. He's in what they call the maintenance period, where he still receives chemo treatments but less often. He's doing well in school, and is enjoying his teens, which is really wonderful.

Oh, this is so good to read, to be reminded to pray, and to hear how those we pray for are doing. Thank you both, VP and Bev.
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. - Psalm 26

I am so pleased to hear of Glendale's progress Bev, long may it continue until he is completely cured. I forget how old he is now but you say "teens". Hope his mother is OK too, it's every mother's nightmare to have a seriously sick child. You mentioned before she had a nice, supportive boyfriend - which she deserves and who must be a comfort (if the relationship is still going on, you never know!). Your boys must be worried about him too. I look forward to the day when all is well and they visit eachother and have fun, getting to know their nieces and nephews etc and I know you would be a nice step-relative. God bless Glendale and you all.

Thanks Vix. Your words are so kind. I would like to share them with her and Glendale. It would be lovely for them to know that there are wonderful strangers who keep them in their prayers.
