Prayers for my Abby's Bacca

Postby Bev » November 24th, 2007, 9:20 pm

This is her maternal grandmother. I posted a prayer thread for her on Sparrows a couple of years ago now. She was diagnosed with lung cancer then, and since she has undergone successful chemotherapy treatments that eradicated the tumor. She tells me today, it is back, and she is scheduled to undergo radiation treatment. She is hopeful, as the cancer is still very, very small, and the doctors are optimistic that the radiation will eradicate it.

Although she says she will be on chemo for the rest of her life, she has lived longer than most, and I believe our prayers have had a lot to do with it.

I told her today I would add her to the prayer list here. We both appreciate your prayers very much.

Bev, I am sorry it has come back. Thanks for posting this, I wondered how she was getting on. I pray she will go back into remission and stay that way.

She called the other day to talk about Christmas presents (so we don't double buy for Abby), and she sounded good. I didn't ask about her health, but I know she is now undergoing radiation therapy.

Her oncologist told her after the treatments, he was insisting she go for her other hip-replacement surgery. I took courage in that, because he obviously feels she can undergo that radical a surgery and physical therapy afterwards. She did too.

Thanks for asking, Vix.

Bev, it does sound hopeful if the medics are planning for her to have a hip replacement. I do hope and pray it is so.
