thanks again, all...

Yes, Val, the memories help - we had many hard times and struggles, but it is the good memories that occur to me, of how we met, married (within 3 months :-D ), and his sayings and use of rhyming slang (he was from Camden Town).
When I see his face in my mind (and one special dream) it is how he was, earlier in life.

thanks for the nice response to my visit...
this last year has been awful (trying to cut a long story short) - plunged into time consuming phone calls, form filling, doctor's appts. (to verify the need for ESA benefit as my husband's pension was cut immediately).
My elderly mom (85) has also needed a lot of help and support and been in hospital again - had to arrange carers - all sorts of stuff to do with mom that is time consuming (I love her dearly though), which is so hard when grieving hits you out of the blue sometimes - it's exhausting
It's exhausting battling on when you feel half what you were. I thank God for my son and daughter who, despite their youth, and many problems of their own, plus having lost their dad of course, have tried to support me, as I have them - and for my brother who lives locally, although he has so little time.
I do lots of online surveys etc to supplement my income which is reduced - yes, one less person to feed and clothe but electric, gas, water charges etc do not alter. It's time consuming but I have worked hard at it and have been able to buy all birthday and Christmas presents with my income from this (in the form of Amazon vouchers), as well as extra bits and pieces for the bungalow. But it means I have had less time to socialise online because of this, and, also, because I am now the only one doing all the shopping cooking and cleaning and bill paying etc (although my son, just turned 26, who lives with me, will do stuff if I ask him - except his bedroom :( ).

It's great to see you, Maz! Not so great to read how tough times have been. :( Of course prayers will continue to flow from the Thads direction, for and your family.
