Is Religion Dying out in Catholic Ireland.?

I notice that Lifesite News is reporting that earlier this week 10,000 Pro Life people rallied in the streets of Dublin to protest the breaking of the promise by the Prime Minister not to legislate abortion.
That such an organized protest is necessary would have been unthinkable years ago in Catholic Ireland.
Ireland, along with MaltaGC and Poland are the only western democratic countries to not allow abortion, that I can think of!
We live at a time ...characterized by a subliminal relativism that penetrates every area of life. Sometimes this relativism becomes aggressive, when it opposes those who say that they know where the truth or meaning of life is to be found. Benedict XV1.
