Christian Songs

I made a new playlist tonight on a site that enables you to do so.
Mindful of copyright complications these are 'out of print' songs that were on vinyl years ago (mainly 70's/early 80's approx). Some clever people ripped and shared them via various sites I've visited over the years

The first one, 'Broken For You' is one we used to sing during communion when I was at Sutton Coldfield baptist church back in the early 80's - beautiful song, but not well known, and was so hard to find.

some of the albums they were on we have or had, but I don't know how to digitalise, so am grateful to those who do.

Thank you Maz. If you don't mind I will share this playlist with a few friends - gives me a good incentive to make contact with some neglected friends.
Blessings. :good:

no problem - I'm glad you like it.

I shared my other playlist (a 'secular' one) on Facebook and Bev shared that one.
It's a useful site, once I got used to how to do things.
Songs can be found and streamed on there using the 'search' - but this playlist is ones I've uploaded myself, which took a fair bit longer.

I realise this isn't about Christian songs, Maz, but I recall some years ago you posting some links to sites that played golden oldie pop songs and I bookmarked those sites, enjoying all those classics. The problem is that when my browser went defunct and I had to move to another one, I lost many links, such as those. So, if you still have those links - at least those which are still active - I'd appreciate them. (If you don't want to put them here, perhaps somewhere on Chatterbox?)

I wonder if it was Musicpophits?
A lovely couple in Oz run that...they share low quality (in the sense of mp3 quality, which CD's better) old pop hits (within certain allowed boundaries - the rules in all this drive me nuts, considering it's quite old, and rare, songs we are interested in, not for current sale).
I'll post their current link and then post others elsewhere

I liked the secular one you put together on Facebook, Maz. Odd, though, that I don't recognize any of the songs or artists on your Christian playlist. Are they local to your area there? All the voices sound eerily similar to Nick Drake. :D

Bev, some, (such as Graham Kendrick), are British, and Nutshell (Paul Field), but Danny Daniels/Vineyard are American.
As I mentioned somewhere these songs are from the 70's and early 80's
Len Magee, (the singer of the beautiful song Prince of Peace), is British but he was one of those kids sent to Australia in the 1960's, who went through a lot and he eventually became a Christian en route back to Britain as a teenager, and then returned to Australia and leads a church if I remember correctly. (His autobiography is worth reading).
Dave Pope is one of my favourite singers from that time and his albums helped me in my early days of being a believer.
Carol Owens (and her husband Jimmy), were well known in American Christian circles I think and co-wrote and sang on Christian musicals, such as Come Together, which the song on the playlist is from.
It's a lovely simple song we used for dance evangelism when I was in a mission.
