O Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, my God,
Through Your ineffable love for mankind You were wrapped in flesh from the Ever-Virgin Mary.
I glorify Your saving providence and care for me, Your servant, O Master.
I praise You, for through You, I have learned to know the Father.
I bless You through Whom the Holy Spirit came into the world.
I bow to Your most pure Mother who served for the dread mystery of Your Incarnation.
I praise the angelic choir as the servants and singers of Your majesty.
I bless Saint John the Forerunner who baptized You, O Lord.
I honour also the prophets who announced You.
I glorify Your holy apostles.
I celebrate the martyrs.
I glorify Your priests.
I venerate Your saints and praise all Your righteous ones.
With this countless and unutterable divine choir, I Your servant, in prayer offer to You, O all-compassionate God.
Therefore, I ask the forgiveness of my sins, with such mercy You grant for the sake of Your holy compassion,
For You are blessed unto the ages of ages.

Amen.
It's later than you think!

A prayer ... well, part of a prayer! by Anselm, Archbishop of Canterbury, 1033-1109.

Christ, my mother,
you gather your chickens under your wings;
this dead chicken of yours puts himself under those wings.
For by your gentleness the badly frightened are comforted,
by your sweet smell the despairing are revived,
your warmth gives life to the dead,
your touch justifies sinners.
Mother, know again your dead son,
both by the sign of your cross and the voice of his confession.
Warm your chicken, give life to your dead man, justify your sinner.
Let your terrified one be consoled by you;
despairing of himself, let him be comforted by you.
and in your whole and unceasing grace
let him be refashioned by you.
For from you flows consolation for sinners;
to you the blessing for ages and ages. Amen.
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. - Psalm 26

Most highly do I praise you, Lord,
for you have taken notice of my lowliness and have not delivered me into the hands of my enemies
but have relieved my soul of its needs.
Now, Master, let your hand shelter me, and let your grace descend upon me,
for my soul is distracted and pained at the departure from this, my miserable and sordid body,
that the end design of the adversary may not overtake her and make her stumble into the darkness
for the unknown and known sins amassed by me in this life.
Be gracious to me, Master, and do not let my soul see the dark countenance of the evil spirits,
but let her be received by your angels bright and shining.
Glorify your holy name, and by your might set me before your divine judgment seat.
When I am being judged, do not allow the hand of the prince of this world to take hold of me,
to throw me, a sinner, into the depths of hell, but stand by me and be a savior and mediator to me.
Have mercy, Lord, on my soul, defiled through the passions of this life, and receive her cleansed by penitence and confession,
For you are blessed to the ages of ages.

Amen.

        Most merciful One, you put on flesh for our sake
        and as a lamb you were willing to be slain for our sins.
        Therefore, I beseech you: also wipe out my sins.
        Heal the wounds of my soul, O Lord, wretched as I am;
        and Master, make me worthy, totally, to receive your mystical Supper.
It's later than you think!
