Happy Birthday to Lyn!

Postby GregB » December 31st, 2017, 9:05 am

Sorry if I've reminded you... :D

Anyway, many happy returns and, as they say in Spanish, por muchos aƱos (for many years.)
"The wiles of dissembling fate afford us the illusion of freedom, yet in the end always lead us into the same trap."

I'll drink to that! Six months ahead of me.

68 today! I thought I was 18 months older than you Sprocks (without checking).
I've just put some of my cards out, yet to receive from husband and son. Husband's is in his car and son coming over later. My neighbour sometimes remembers too.
Never thought, years ago, I'd reach 68! To be healthy too is something for which I am thankful.

Thank you so much for the thread, much appreciated.

Yes, you are - my mistake. I'm 67 in six months. I was thinking of the year, 2018.

Many Happy Returns Lyn. :D
According to one study, the average adult has a shorter attention span (eight seconds) than a goldfish (nine seconds).
This is not surprising in today's wired , or wified world.

Thanks so much. My neighbour on one side whom I've known since we moved here, 1984, did remember my birthday and delivered a lovely card, to "Friend", which made me quite touched (more than usual).

All over now though, by two days, so we move on into 2018 with great gusto!
