Death Comes to Pemberley, by P.D.James

I mentioned the TV adaptation in the TV thread in 'General Discussion', but this parody of the original PDJames novel, published when it appeared two years ago, seemed more appropriate here. SPOILER ALERT: it gives away the denouement.
Treason doth never prosper: what's the reason?
Why, if it prosper, none dare call it treason.

I disagree with that review. Lizzie certainly hadn't changed, she was as independent in spirit as she was in "Pride and Prejudice". Obviously several years of marriage and two children changed her a bit, as it does all of us, but not in essence.

I sometimes wonder if the reviewers actually read the book in its entirety, or just a synopsis.
