The study claimed, not a 10 pound weight loss in 6 weeks, but a modest 4% increase in energy expenditure which translates to an additional 80 calories burnt per day. Hello Fu Manchu,
Why don't you try to achieve weight loss yourself by drowning in a vat of green tea? You'd be surprised how soon the kilos came off...

Is anything effective in achieving spam loss? If so, could someone use it?

Laughed when I saw this. The other day my sister was talking about green tea.
Having undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy for blood cancer (now in remission) she said drinking green tea made her far sicker. What made me laugh was she said that people do lose weight because they are unable to eat anything for a while having tried the tea which made them feel sick.. :D

I'd forgotten about this thread - which appears to be spam - but the title made me sit up (I was looking for a thread about chips but I think that was on Daily Chat). When I went to corner shop today I saw a packet of Lipton's green tea with lemon and bought it. I like tea with a slice of lemon but when I had green tea before, I wasn't that keen. Anyway this is a small packet of 20 tea bags and I have had two cups today. It was lovely, quite refreshing. I don't know about weight loss, can't imagine it would make any difference to someone overweight unless they were careful with everything else they consumed, but I do remember reading, years ago, that green tea had health benefits. Never mind about that, Lipton's lemon green tea is well nice!
