Looks good. Your bike is clever going it alone!

Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a place, not far from Epping Forest, that begins with W, very beautiful and foresty? I can't remember the name of the place for the life of me but have been there, had relatives who lived in Essex.

Good photos! Some questions:

Where was the Blake quote?
Where was the double tomb?
Why the street name in French (Rue St Lawrence)?
What beer did you drink in those pubs?

(1) - beside the towpath of the Lea Navigation, in Ware.
(2) - The church of Holy Cross and St Lawrence, Waltham Abbey (which is also the last resting-place of King Harold, of Hastings fame - he's somewhere outside the Eastern end of the church, but no-one knows exactly where.)
(3) - good question. Its oddness is the reason for the photo.
(4) - Greene King 'Festival Ale' in the King's Oak, a refreshing, light summer ale with a hint of citrus; and Truman's 'Zephyr' in the Moon and Cross, Waltham Forest (not pictured), "soft, smooth, malty, moreish" according to my notes.

Then again, probably not Waltham Abbey, which isn't particularly beautiful, nor foresty. The village of High Beech, on the edge of the forest, would answer the description, but doesn't begin with W!

I agree, I looked up Waltham Forest and Waltham Abbey. I think I was probably in Epping and saw a sign to Waltham Forest, it was a long time ago.

Ah yes - he's the one who didn't see eye to eye with the Normans...
